We are located in Shelter Cove Marina on Dock “C”. Please park at the marina store and walk down to the boat. We ask that you arrive 30 minutes prior to departure to ensure you make it and we leave on time.

The Captain Kidd is focused on catching our local blue crabs or fish on one of our two tour options. Fishing will be seasonal so please inquire about that option if interested. For crabbing, we will use the local Gullah method of chicken necks on the bottom of our shallow water creeks. We will provide everything you need to have a good time on the boat. During your trip we will release everything we catch which protects the local commercial crabbing industry.

We can take anyone of any age! Yes, that means we can also take infants and kids of all ages on this fun adventure. Since the Coast Guard counts every individual regardless of age, we do have a small charge for infants. Most kids 3 and over will have a fun time participating in this event. We have a touch tank on the boat which is filled with local sea friends that will keep kids of all ages occupied.

We are very lucky to be located near some of the best crabbing areas on the Island. Shelter Cove marina is only a mile away from where we will crab in the shallow waters of Broad Creek. We will drop lines near where our local crabbers drop cages to catch our local blue crabs. We will catch and release all of our crabs caught on the trip! We will be in less than 10ft of water at all times and no further then 100 ft from shore.

The Captain Kidd is licensed to carry a set number of passengers and crew on every tour. The Coast Guard counts infants, kids, moms and dads all as individual passengers and thus are taking a limited spot on the boat. We have to charge and count every individual onboard.
